Sustainable Kettle 

Millions of people worldwide start their day with a hot cup of tea or coffee, and kettles have become an indispensable part of their daily routine. However, conventional kettles are known to be energy-intensive, and over-filling is a major culprit.

 

As a designer committed to sustainability, I have taken on the challenge of creating a better alternative. Through innovative and eco-friendly features, my sustainable kettle designs drastically reduce energy consumption while delivering the same level of convenience and functionality.

The design of the proposed kettle not only reduced its overall energy consumption over a 10-year period but also showcased its commitment to sustainability. By utilising locally sourced recycled materials and repurposing components for manufacturing new ones, the kettle effectively minimised carbon emissions associated with material processing and transportation to factories, suppliers, and retail shops.

This environmentally conscious approach ensured a greener and more sustainable product, aligned with the principles of eco-friendly manufacturing and reducing carbon footprint.

The choice of materials for the kettle demonstrates a true dedication to quality and sustainability. Stainless steel, aluminum, borosilicate glass, and silicone rubber were selected for their superior qualities that match our goal of crafting an exceptional kettle. These materials stand out for their unique features; for instance, stainless steel's robustness and electromagnetic compatibility make it perfect for the induction base.

Sandblasting and powder coating them, to ensure an extra layer of protection for long-lasting performance. Moreover, to cater to the diverse preferences of our valued customers, the kettle comes in multiple colour variants to go with every customers taste and kitchen style, without the use of toxic paints

Packaging 

By using a mushroom packinging solution, our carbon footprint is significantly reduced, as the mushroom packaging is fully biodegradable and takes just 7 days to grow and form the packaging material.

The mushroom packaging will be supplemented with a thin recycled cardboard box, which will provide essential product information for the kettle.
